About Us The Albritton Fruit Company was founded in 1880 by Captain Thomas H. Albritton. After the devastation of the Civil War, Capt. Tom moved his family from Georgia to central Florida with the determination of making a new life for his family as a citrus grower. In 1900, his son Thomas A. moved the family further south to Sarasota after a terrible freeze had destroyed many of Florida's Citrus groves. In Sarasota, Thomas A. quickly became one of the area's foremost citrus experts. Recognized as "Florida's Oldest Family Owned Business", three generations of Albritton family members have continued with the same values set over 128 years ago to deliver quality products and friendly service to our customers. Our specialties are Florida Citrus and gifts that include fruit fresh from the groves in every package. We ship our citrus throughout the United States, Canada. We also produce a line of fresh squeezed non-pasteurized citrus juices that we feel is the best you can buy. Taste them…….. you will agree! We operate out of our original Grove store that has been running since 1947.
